Our beginning

4R's Closet was started in 2015 by Farida Ariany, after her numerous challenges to find good quality instant hijabs, or tudung sarung as it is commonly known in Malay, that were available in the market then. As a mother of 3 very young children, she needed a hijab solution that is fast and easy to wear and maintain, yet provides good modest coverage and does not compromise on comfort and looks. The tudung sarung she purchased were mainly mass productions that were clearly more interested in merely churning out quantity than quality. More often than not, the tudung sarung were poorly cut and stitched, and used low quality fabric such that it led to discomfort and uncomplimenting looks when worn. Worse was when the tudung sarung back then were mostly linked to 'aunty-looks' as many who wore them were middle-aged ladies who chose these affordable, convenient hijabs than fashion statements. Perhaps it was fated that Farida Ariany stumbled upon a hijab brand from a neighbouring country and immediately fell in love with their instant hijabs. Modern cutting with high-quality stitching, thoughtful choices of fabrics, colours and motifs with boutique quality finishing, Chenta Qaseh hijabs gave a new definition to tudung sarung. They look so good to be worn to the office even. It was then Farida Ariany decided to make these hijab beauties available to ladies here in Singapore. Nothing makes her happier than to see and hear from other ladies of their delightful experiences with the hijabs that she herself enjoys wearing. Now the ladyboss wants to take her business a step further by gradually introducing eco-friendly hijabs and other muslimah essentials. A nature lover herself who is concerned with climate change and issues pertaining to environmental protection and management, she wishes to offer fashion solutions that are kind to earth and its inhabitants.
